Which lab tests should I ask for?

Ask for a lipid panel (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides) and a fasting glucose. An HbA1c is a helpful extra.

These are common, inexpensive tests that most labs run every day. Fast as your lab instructs before a fasting glucose, usually overnight.

You'll enter each number from your results. Use the units your lab report shows; you can switch between US and metric units in your settings.
