Do I need lab results to get a grade?

No. The free grade runs on what you already know: your height, your weight, and a recent blood pressure reading. Lab numbers are what sharpen it, because cholesterol and blood sugar are two of the four things we grade, so a report built with them tells you a great deal more than one without. Start without them and add them when you get them.

Does this replace my doctor?

No. Body By Numbers is a wellness product. It grades numbers you already have and points you at the one worth working on first. It is not medical advice. If a grade worries you, that is exactly the thing to take to your doctor, and the report is built to be easy to hand over.

Who can use Body By Numbers?

Body By Numbers is for adults in the United States. You can use it on any phone, tablet or computer with an up-to-date web browser. There is no app to download.

What do the grades mean?

Each category gets a letter from A+ to F. The scale is set against the results research links with the lowest long-term risk, not against what is common, so an A means excellent and a B is very good.

How do you turn my numbers into a grade?

Each number is scored against what the research says is optimal, rather than against the wide “normal” band on a lab printout, which only tells you that you are not sick yet. Those scores become letter grades for body composition, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar, and those four roll up into one overall grade. The same formulas apply to everyone, adjusted only for age and sex.

My lab said "normal". Why isn't my grade an A?

A lab flags results that are already a problem. We grade how close you are to the best range the research supports, which is a higher bar. That is why a "normal" result often lands around a B.

What is Biological Age?

Accepted Answer

It is an estimate from your numbers, worked out from the same markers you entered, and it is always shown next to your actual age. Two years younger means your numbers look like those of someone two years younger than you. It moves when your numbers move, which makes it the simplest thing to watch over time.

A grade worries me. What should I do?

Take your report to your doctor. A low grade is a reason for a conversation, not a conclusion, and your doctor can look at the whole picture.

Can I redo a report if I got a number wrong?

No, and we tell you before you commit. A report is final once it is created, which is why the last step shows every number back to you to check. If a wrong number does get through, the fix is a new report rather than an edit to the old one. On Membership that costs nothing extra: your next report opens 30 days after the last one.

How many reports can I create?

Snapshot includes one report per purchase. Membership includes a new report every 30 days, up to twelve a year. The next one opens 30 days after your last report.

Where do I find my past reports?

Sign in and open Reports from the menu on your dashboard. Every report you've created is listed there, newest first. Members can also open Trends to see their grades over time.

How do I download or print my report?

On your dashboard, choose Download PDF. Your report opens ready to print, and your browser's print window lets you print it or choose "Save as PDF".

How do I share my report with my doctor?

Download or print your report and bring it to your appointment, or send the saved PDF through your doctor's patient portal. The one-page report is built to be easy to hand over.

When should I check my numbers again?

Your report suggests a time based on your lowest grade: sooner when a grade is low, about once or twice a year when your grades are strong. If your doctor gives you a different timeline, follow your doctor.

Where do I get the lab numbers?

Any standard blood panel will do. The usual routes are your next physical, a lab your doctor sends you to, or a walk-in lab you book yourself. What you want is a lipid panel and a fasting glucose; an HbA1c is a helpful extra. We do not run the draw or sell the test. You bring the numbers, we grade them.

Which lab tests should I ask for?

How do I get a blood pressure reading?

Use a recent reading from your doctor's office, a pharmacy machine or a home cuff. For the most accurate number, take a few readings at home, seated and rested, and use the average.

How do I measure my body fat?

Body fat is optional. A body composition scale at home, or a scan at a gym or clinic, gives you a number to enter. Without it, we use your height and weight.

No. Our Get your numbers page links to a validated home blood pressure cuff, a body composition scale and a lab panel you can order yourself. You buy from the seller, and they handle shipping, returns and results.

The free grade costs nothing. Snapshot is 29, paid once, for one full report. Membership is 99 a year for a new report every 30 days and trend tracking.

How do I upgrade from Snapshot to Membership?

Open Billing and choose Upgrade to Membership. If you bought Snapshot at full price in the last 30 days, the 29 comes off your first Membership year automatically.

Does Membership renew automatically?

Yes. Membership runs for a year and renews at the end of it, charged to the card on file. You can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal, and you keep Membership until the end of the year you paid for.

How do I cancel my Membership?

Open Billing, choose Manage billing and cancel your plan. You keep Membership until the end of the year you paid for, and you won't be charged again.

Membership runs for a year and renews at the end of it. You can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal. Purchases are not refundable: once a report is generated, it is yours to keep.

Payment usually unlocks your plan within a minute. Sign out, sign back in with the same email you used at checkout, and open your dashboard.

How do I use a code?

If your code came in a link, just open the link: the code is applied at checkout for you. Otherwise, choose your plan and type the code into "Add promotion code" on the checkout page. If that box doesn't appear, a discount is already applied.

Check the spelling, including any dashes. A code can also stop working when it has expired, has been used the maximum number of times, or is for a different plan.

Where is my free grade code?

We email a six-digit code to the address you entered. It usually arrives within a minute and works for ten minutes. Check your spam or promotions folder if you don't see it.

On the sign-in page, choose "Forgot password?", enter your email address, and we'll send you a link to choose a new one. The link works for one hour.

Check your spam, junk and promotions folders, and search for "Body By Numbers". Then make sure you typed the same address you signed up with.

Make sure you're using the same email and the same way you signed up: email and password, or Google. If you've forgotten your password, reset it from the sign-in page.

Why was I signed out?

To protect your information, we sign you out after 30 minutes without activity. Two minutes before, we ask if you're still there.

Open Settings, then Password. Enter your current password and a new one of at least 12 characters.

Open Settings and edit your profile. Your date of birth and sex are used to grade your numbers, so please keep them accurate.

Can I change my email address?

Not from Settings yet. Email support@bodybynumbers.com from the address on your account and tell us the new address. To protect your account, we confirm by replying to the address on file before changing anything.

How do I choose which emails I get?

Use the "Email choices" link at the bottom of our emails, or open Settings, then Email. You can turn tips and offers, the monthly letter and plan reminders on or off.

What do you actually store about me?

Your grades, not your numbers. Everything you type is graded and then discarded, so the cholesterol figure you entered never reaches our database. What we keep is the result: your letter grades, your scores and your Biological Age, which is what your trend line is drawn from. None of it is ever sold.

Who can see my information?

You can. A small number of our staff can see account details to help you, and only for that reason. We never sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train outside AI models.

How do I get a copy of my data?

Open Settings and choose Export my data. A file with everything on your account downloads right away.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings, scroll to the bottom, choose Delete account and type DELETE to confirm. Your account and reports are removed right away, and any Membership is cancelled.

A page shows an error or won't load

Reload the page first. If that doesn't help, sign out and back in, update your browser, or try a private window. Most problems clear up with one of these.

Can I use Body By Numbers outside the US?

Not yet. Body By Numbers is available only in the United States for now. If you're in the US and see a message saying it isn't available, turn off any VPN and reload.
